THE FLAG ~
Veteran's Day Parade in New York City, NY

Veterans groups from around the world gather in New York City to help put on the nation's most spectacular Veteran's Day Parade. Thousands watched in awe and supported as active officers, floats, marching bands, military vehicles and veterans all push through the New York City streets in a symbol of true freedom.

A service is held at Eternal Memorial in Madison Square Park before the actual parade, with other festivities usually taking place at various locations throughout the day. Many attended the Veteran's Day Parade to pay tribute to our nation's heroes, experienced one of the legendary New York City parade. The Alton Miller Band presented, and participated in carrying the Ground Zero Flag.

This 60' X 30', 92 lb. American Flag was unfurled on a building overlooking the World Trade Center site by a group of Ground Zero volunteers from New York City during the rescue and recovery operations after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
